FIAT 500L 1971

Tiny Car Co are offering for sale this stunning restored 1971 Fiat 500 Lusso.
The car was imported from Italy back in 2013 and was restored in 2021 and as such is in excellent condition throughout.
The floors, front wings, front panel, rear arches, sills and doors were all replaced in the restoration so the bodywork is spot on. The off-white paintwork is very smart and the car is body colour in the engine bay and underneath which is lovely to see on these little 500s and a sign of the quality of the restoration. All the chrome was also replaced and still presents beautifully. Inside, the upholstery again is in fantastic condition, with the red door cards, seat fabric and cushioning having been replaced and matched to a red sunroof
Mechanically the car has been subject to a lot of work, with all the steering, suspension and brakes having been rebuilt during the restoration. The engine is in fantastic condition having had a full rebuild, I also believe it may have had some light upgrades as the car feels like it has a little bit of extra pep to its performance although I cannot confirm this. The car is running electronic ignition, a nice upgrade that does away with the troublesome condensers for improved reliability. The engine has been beautifully finished when reassembled with the red powder coated tinware and stainless fixings. The car also has a rare Aluminium sump fitted, the first of its type that I’ve seen and likely a period Italian upgrade.
The car comes with a photocopy of the original Italian logbook and some invoices for the parts and labour from the cars restoration adding up to £1000s. Although a lot more has clearly been done than the invoices account for.
The car is complete with its Fiat Jack, tool kit, handbook, 2 sets of keys and comes with the haynes manual!
