This is a cherished little Mini Mayfair that has been recently refurbished with a wonderful retro vibe, evoking the Mark 2 Morris Mini Coopers. We know this car well and can attest to its quality and great vibe.
The car was subject to a recent renovation with a few little rust issues sorted properly, wiper and aerial holes blanked off and then the whole car resprayed in the blue and cream colour-scheme with red pin stripes. The genuine Cibie Oscar driving and fog lamps and covers were powder coated to match the bodywork and the rocker-cover is also colour matched to the same colour scheme. at the rear, the car has a boot mounted reversing lamp, MKII rear lamps, custom number plates and a Le Mans style filler cap.
The 998cc A series engine is a sweet example that is helped with electronic ignition and sounds lovely through the centre-exit sports exhaust. Charging is faultless thanks to an upgraded 75 amp alternator which helps with the front and rear auxiliary lighting thats been fitted to the car. The car has Hi-LO suspension fitted and green stuff brake pads and sits on a lovely set of unmarked Minilite wheels.
Inside is where we think this car really shines, the vinyl leatherette interior in matching blue and cream is absolutely stunning! A smart black dash panel topped with a leather cover, correct auxiliary switchpanel with factory buttons for the extra lamps and a wood rimmed steering wheel finishes off the period look of the interior with speedwell horn , gearknob and accelerator extension. A few modern touches make the car very useable, a smart modern stereo with hidden speakers and subwoofer under the seats, USB phone charger and phone holder, seatbelts all round and an additional stop lamp in the rear window for safety.
The car as described is a Mini Mayfair but is badged as a MkII Morris Cooper and certainly looks the part with its leather bonnet straps, hand written racing roundels (magnetic and removable), auxilliary lights and retro interior. We at Tiny Car Co love the look of this little Mini, its a stand out, highly useable and very well sorted little car perfect for taking to shows or putting into regular use!
